Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis is keen on signing former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Laurentiis is keen on adding the 38-year-old to his side but was quick to note that the decision will lie with the player.
Ibrahimovic is currently in the MLS with LA Galaxy but will be a free agent in January when his contract expires, and he has indicated he will be interested with a return to Serie A.
The striker won titles at Juventus, Inter and AC Milan during his time in Italy, and will be a great addition for the Carlo Ancelotti-led side.
"He is a friend," De Laurentiis told TV Luna regarding Ibrahimovic ahead of the Champions League clash with FC Salzburg.
"I met him, not as a footballer, but as a normal person in Los Angeles because we shared the same hotel. I invited him to dinner with his wife and children and we had a great night.
"On the pitch, he seems like one type of person, but really he is completely different. My desire would be to see in our jersey. It's more than just a suggestion, but it's up to him. It has been spoken about for a few months,"
The mercurial forward will hope to sign off in style with a title, and will lead his side in the Western Conference semifinals against LAFC on Thursday.
