Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola hailed Jack Grealish following his performance as Aston Villa suffered a 3-0 defeat on Saturday.
Aston Villa held City to a goalless draw in the first half but Guardiola's men ran riot in the second half, putting three past Tom Heaton to move to within three points of leaders Liverpool. Raheem Sterling, Bernaldo Silva, and İlkay Gündoğan were all on target as Fernadinho was shown a red card for the second book.
In his press conference after the game, Guardiola hailed the 24-year-old as an ‘incredible’ talent adding that he is too expensive for City.
"He’s incredible. A top player. I’m happy he (initially) stayed in the Championship to defend his club. He’s a talented player who always creates something," he said.
"An exceptional player but too expensive for Manchester! On his own side’s lackluster first-half display, he added: It helps a lot we scored in the first minute of the second half. The second half was our game. We played 45 minutes, we didn’t play 90.
