Guardiola open to a Serie A move

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is open to managing in Italy after his time with Premier League champions is done.

Guardiola, whose contract with City expires next season says he would love one day to coach in Italy. The Spaniard played for Brescia and he is not ruling out a return to Italy as a manager.

"Training in Italy? Why not," he told Sky in Italy.

"It was a pleasure [to be there] as a player, with the great (Carlo) Mazzone [former Brescia manager]. I had a great time and I love the country but now I feel good in England, it's a great championship. But maybe yes, I'm not that old."

Guardiola who was linked with a move to Juventus in the summer dismissed the reports claiming the media had false information.

"You had false information, you have to do your job better," he told one Italian reporter as he smiled.

The 48-year-old will be taking his side to Anfield on Sunday to face League leaders Liverpool.
