Manchester United scout admits the club should have been patient with Jose Mourinho

Manchester United scout Sandro Orlandelli has admitted that Jose Mourinho should have been handed more time at the club.

Mourinho was shown the door at United in December last year after a string of poor results with the 3-1 loss to Liverpool being the final game of his tenure.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer came in and after a promising start could only guide United to a sixth-place finish with the club are currently seventh after 12 games this season.

In an interview with SportWitness, Orlandelli noted that United should have been patient with Mourinho, "José Mourinho spent so little time at Manchester United to do a job worthy of such a big club."

Speaking at the World Scouting Congress this week, Orlandelli was also quoted by Record as saying United need reinforcements 'for all positions'.

Orlandelli was listed as a speaker at the event as a Manchester United scout and later posted on Instagram that it was a pleasure to attend.
