Former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has aimed a jab at Real Madrid forward Eden Hazard.
Mikel played alongside Hazard for five seasons between 2012 and 2017 before the Nigerian left.
Hazard joined Real Madrid last summer for an initial fee of £89 million, despite having had just a year remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking to beIN Sports Turkey, Mikel named the Belgian striker as the laziest player he ever played with.
"The laziest player I’ve ever played alongside is Eden Hazard."
John Obi Mikel: ''Çalıştığım en tembel oyuncu Eden Hazard.''— beIN SPORTS Türkiye (@beINSPORTS_TR) November 17, 2019
"Hazard has an incredible talent, maybe not as good as [Lionel] Messi, but he can do whatever he wants with the ball at his feet.
"He didn't like to train hard. While we were working he was waiting for us to finish training just standing there. But on Sundays he was always the man of the match, it was unbelievable."
Hazard departed Stamford Bridge widely-regarded as one of the greatest players to ever line out in Chelsea’s colours.
Across 352 competitive appearances in the colours of the Blues, the Belgian directly contributed to over 200 goals
This included an impressive 16 goals and 15 assists in the Premier League alone last season.
