AFC Leopards, Ulinzi Stars and Tusker FC are some of the teams that have been affected by the expulsion of Sony Sugar from the Kenyan Premier League.
Sony’s ouster from KPL was confirmed on Friday this coming after they dished three walkovers against AFC Leopards, Tusker FC and Zoo Kericho.
Before their ouster, Sony had collected four points in their games this coming after their draw against Kisumu All Stars and their win against Nzoia Sugar FC. They had lost games against Mathare United, Wazito FC, Ulinzi Stars, Bandari FC and KCB.
KCB was the first affected team as they now fall from the third position to fifth. Ulinzi Stars falling from the second position to fourth, Wazito from 13th to 15th, AFC Leopards from 8th to tenth, Tusker FC from fourth to sixth and Mathare United from seventh to ninth.
Teams who have benefited from their ouster include Posta Rangers who are now placed second from fifth, Kakamega Homeboyz from sixth to third, Sofapaka from ninth to seventh, Western Stima from 10th to 8th with Kisumu All-Stars maintaining their 14th spot.
