Mamelodi Sundowns boss Patrice Motsepe has bought ownership into the Blue Bulls.

The Pretoria Blue Bulls announced the news via social media today, confirming that the Sundowns president has acquired 37% ownership.

“Vodacom Bulls latest signing… Welcome to the #BullsFamily Patrice Motsepe,” posted the club.

“The Blue Bulls Company is excited to welcome our new shareholder Patrice Motsepe to the #BullsFamily. The much talked about and anticipated deal was unanimously concluded on Thursday evening at a meeting held at Loftus Versfeld.”

“The new structure will mean that existing shareholders Remgro and the Blue Bulls Rugby Union (BBRU) reduce their previously equal percentage of shareholding from 50% each to 37% and 26% respectively, allowing Motsepe to buy in owning the remaining 37%,” added Blue Bulls’ statement.”

The gold & platinum mining mogul is the founder of African Rainbow Minerals and is believed to be South Africa’s fourth-wealthiest man with a networth of around 2,3 billion USD.
