Whyvonne Isuza goal in the 18th minute was all AFC Leopards needed to bounce back into winning ways as they overcame visiting Kisumu All-Stars in a Kenyan Premier League clash hosted at the Kenyatta Stadium-Machakos on Sunday 24 November.
The win was a welcome relief for Leopards who had not won their last two games after falling to arch-rivals Gor Mahia before the international break before being held by Bandari in midweek.
Munene Washington started the move before releasing striker Vincent Oburu who beat of two All Stars defenders before crossing the ball to Isuza who finished with a plomb.
The win consolidates their fifth position on the log after teams around them in Mathare United and Tusker FC won their respective games; Ulinzi Stars drawing their game against Nzoia Sugar FC.
The match though wasn't short of controversies for All Stars who had to seek help with jerseys prior to the game after arriving in Nairobi with their sky blue outfits; this being the only pair of uniforms they have used through the first ten games.
The loss sees them at position 15 on the log with nine points this being just two points above Kariobangi Sharks in the relegation zone; the loss being a rare one for head coach Henry Omino who had a brilliant history against AFC Leopards in their previous meetings.
