Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Tahith Chong apologized to the team in the dressing after missing a chance in the 2-1 loss to Astana.
United broke the deadlock in the first half courtesy of a sumptuous strike by Jesse Lingard but failed to double their lead when Chong scooped the ball over the crossbar with a gaping goal ahead of him.
Astana equalized within a minute after the miss through Dmitriy Shomko as Chong was substituted in the wake of Astana's second goal.
Speaking in a press conference after the game, Solskjaer revealed what Chong told the players in the dressing room, "He said the same in the dressing room.
"He stands up and it's a different game if he scores and takes the responsibility, but no forward or striker should ever worry about missing chances, that's about growing up, I think I did as well."
United next face Aston Villa on Sunday 1st December at Old Trafford in a 7:30 PM kick-off.
