Harambee Stars name provisional squad for CECAFA Senior Championships

Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi has revealed his provisional squad for the CECAFA Senior Championships slated for Saturday 7, December.

After featuring for Kenya in the CECAFA Under 20 in Uganda, Brain Bwire has been included in the squad but will likely be an understudy to Timothy Odhiambo who has kept seven clean sheets so far this season.

There is one foreign-based player in the squad as Kimanzi has handed a call up to Anthony Wambani, who currently features for Swedish side Vasalunds IF.

The team reports to camp on Monday, December 2, 2019, ahead of the regional showpiece, set to be played between December 7, and December 19, 2019, in Uganda.

Kenya has been pooled in Group C alongside Tanzania, Djibouti, and Zanzibar, and will be looking to defend the title they won in December 2017, in Machakos.
