The Austrian team is one of the highest-scoring sides in the competition having netted 16 times, with three of the goals against Tuesday's opponents in the reverse fixture at Anfield.
Liverpool leads the group on 10 points, one ahead of Napoli in second, with Salzburg third on seven points.
Haaland has stunned football world with his red-hot form this season and is only two goals behind Robert Lewandowski in the competition's top scorers chart.
