Jesse Lingard opens up on mood in dressing room after win in Manchester derby

Jesse Lingard has revealed the mood in Manchester United's dressing room after the win over Manchester City is of confidence and happiness.

United stunned City 2-1 at their own backyard with goals from Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial while Nicolas Otamendi bagged the consolation goal for Pep Guardiola's men.

The win now means United have picked up back to back league victories for the first time this season after beating Tottenham Hotspur before their triumph against City.

In an interview with Press Association, Lingard revealed the mood in United's dressing room, "Yeah, 100 percent. Obviously form dips and you go through highs and lows, but I feel like I am on the right path at the moment.

"I'm training well, I'm doing the right things and the manager is happy, which is the most important thing. I'm really confident (about the rest of the season).

"On the back of those two wins, City and Spurs, the confidence is there. Now it's about mindset and mentality to just keep going."
