Former Gor Mahia head coach Frank Nuttal is being linked with the vacant head coach position at Tanzania giants Simba SC.
Having been around the continent for some time with his last station being at Sudanese Premier League Outfit El-Hilal El-Obeid, the Scotsman is seen as one of the perfect replacement of Belgian Patrick Aussems who was shown the door last month.
Many thought Simba would promote Aussems assistant Dennis Kitambi to the position of the head coach now that they were out of the CAF Champions League but Kitambi too has since been relieved of his duties.
Nuttal had been linked with a return to the Kenyan Premier League when Wazito FC decided to part ways with Fred Ambani and then Melis Medo but sources reveal that there was no concrete offer for him.
Nuttal's Coaching Journey
Apart from Gor Mahia and El-Obeid, Nuttal had stints with Egyptian giants Zamalek SC and Ghanaian giants Hearts Of Oak. He started his coaching journey as a fitness tactician with Scottish side St. Mirren, went to Rangers in the same capacity with his first stint away from his native Scotland being an assistant coach at Al-Nasr Dubai SC before returning to England with Middlesbrough as a fitness coach.
His greatest feat in his coaching career was when he led Gor Mahia to the title in 2015 in an unbeaten fashion. He added the feat by winning the KPL Top 8 and Kenya Super Cup titles.
