Manchester United's predicted lineup to face AZ Alkmaar

Manchester United will qualify as group winners from their Europa League group if they avoid defeat when they face Dutch side AZ Alkmaar on Thursday night at the Old Trafford.

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is however expected to make a number of changes to his side, with a host of youth and fringe players expected to get a chance to impress.

The Norwegian has already revealed that Paul Pogba will not be part of the squad for the match, indicating the clash comes too soon for him.

The Frenchman has made only six starts for United this campaign and has been out since September battling a knee injury.

Nemanja Matic is expected to start having been out with an unspecified problem for weeks now, while Jesse Lingard, who missed Wednesday morning's training hopes to be back to the lineup having starred in the last Europa League match.

Ashley Young is expected to captain the side and take Aaron Wan-Bissaka's spot, with youngster Williams playing on the other side of the wing.

In the middle fo the park, the returning Matic will partner in-form Fred, although Garner could also be another player on Solskjaer's cards for the night.

Upfront, Mason Greenwood will lead the lines, with usual suspects Marcus Rashford taking a well-deserved rest.

Man Utd predicted line-up: Romero; Young, Tuanzebe, Jones, Williams; Fred, Matic; Mata, Lingard, Gomes; Greenwood.
