Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard is set for a late fitness test ahead of their Sunday game against Everton.
Lingard picked a knock in the club’s 2-1 in over Manchester City last Sunday and missed their Thursday Europa league clash against AZ Alkmaar.
The midfielder who has been hailed by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has come under criticism from a section of the club fans but the Norwegian feels he gives the club another edge when he is at his best.
Meanwhile, United has received some timely boost with the news that midfielder Paul Pogba is set to start full training next week along with Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah. Nemanja Matic returned from a 10-week absence against AZ, while Diogo Dalot and Marcos Rojo are the others who are building on their fitness.
Everton will be without the services of winger Theo Walcott and midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin as the duo are sidelined by calf injuries.
Lucas Digne is a doubt after feeling tightness while training on Friday, while Fabian Delph, Yerry Mina, and Seamus Coleman remain short of full fitness. Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Andre Gomes are long-term absentees.
