Futaa's expert betting team has selected six picks from this weekend's league clashes from the top leagues in Europe, where we expect plenty of entertainment and goals.
Here are our tips and best bets!
✅ Southampton vs West Ham
Did you ever think at the beginning of the season, that Southampton would need to rely on Danny Ings for goals? Ings has 9 goals in the PL so far but with his side’s leaky defense, we expect West Ham to bag one or two goals in this fixture.
✅ Mainz vs BvB
Things are looking better for Borussia Dortmund after back-to-back league wins followed by a 2-1 victory over Slavia Praha in the Champions League, which secured their place in the last 16.
BvB have only kept one clean sheet on their travels in the league this season, though, and the hosts' goal-scoring rate has increased under manager Beierlorzer, so it might not be plain sailing for the Black and Yellows.
✅ Real Sociedad vs Barcelona
The two clubs are among the in-form teams in Europe right now and are currently separated by 7 points.
Though the hosts would prove an uphill mountain to climb, the Barcelona stars would be buoyed by the extra rest afforded them in midweek and they would go all out for a victory to get in tune for their crunch Clasico clash with Real Madrid.
✅ St Etienne vs PSG
Thomas Tuchel and PSG do not look like they are about to start losing now. This season they have been successful in 6 out of 8 matches in foreign stadiums.
The home team has won 7 out of 17 games in the last six months. They however try and score on their own ground.
✅ Fiorentina vs Inter
Inter top the log in the Serie A but were bundled out of the Champions League by Barcelona recently.
Inter will expect Juve to overcome Udinese in an earlier clash and therefore a win might be needed against Fiorentina to return to the summit. The home side is certainly capable of picking up a result, but we just fancy Conte's side to triumph due to their firepower in the final third of the field.
✅ Valencia vs Real Madrid
The home team currently achieves an average of 1.75 goals per match at home and concedes 1.00 goals. This just means they can score, but Zidane’s men will get something in too.
Valencia will enter the match off the back of an impressive run of form, and despite being without a number of key players, we fancy them to hold Madrid to a low-scoring draw at the Mestalla.
