Freddie Ljungberg slams Sead Kolasinac after defeat to Manchester City

Arsenal interim manager Freddie Ljungberg hit out at Sead Kolasinac for having a hand in Manchester City's third goal when he went out injured.

City had an electric start to the game going ahead 2-0 in the opening 15 minutes through Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling with the Belgian making it three just before half time.

Arsenal were reduced to 10 men momentarily when Kolasinac picked up an ankle injury with the defender walking off, leaving Saka with little time to get ready as City punished the Gunners with the third goal.

Speaking in a press conference after the defeat to City, Ljungberg slammed Kolasinac, "Sead went down and our player tried to get ready.

"With the weather, he had a lot of clothes on. That’s something we need to learn, [ok] get ready quicker but to stay down when you are injured so players can get ready.

"I think that’s a bit harsh. A player can’t get ready quicker. Of course you can say he shouldn’t have so many clothes on but we were in the first half when he probably didn’t think there would be a substitution."
