Why Chelsea will be wearing a different kit for the FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest

Chelsea will celebrate 50 years since they first won the FA Cup in 1970 with a special kit commemorating the special moment in their history when they host Nottingham Forest on Sunday evening.

The Blues will step away from the deep blue kits, with their new Nike kit for the tie having yellow pulls in the trim on the shorts, badge, socks, and the numbers.

According to one of the stars of the current campaign, Mason Mount, this will be a special moment to remember the achievements of the winning team.

“It’s a classy, stylish and sophisticated shirt — a great way of remembering the iconic team of 1970," said Mount.

"We know fans of all ages are going to love its simple design.”
