Mwanahalima Adam Jereko will be leaving Nairobi next week with the aim of sealing a move to Swedish side Djugardens IF.
It was reported on Friday that Adam had struck a deal with the Stockholm side after the club scouts were impressed with her during a trial conducted in the country a fortnight ago.
While confirming her departure, Adam exerted confidence that she was going to give her best as she aims to be just one of the few Kenyan female players to play outside the country.
“We had a trial session here some few weeks back and I think they were impressed. Everything is set and I’ll be leaving next week to Sweden after their invitation. I’m praying that everything goes on well and I’ll be giving my best to ensure that I ink a deal,” Mwanahalima told Futaa.
Adam, the winner of the 2016 Most Promising Girl of the year in the Sports Personality of the Year has been featuring for Thika Queens in the Kenya Women Premier League and has been a key member of the national team-Harambee Starlets.
The news comes just a few days after two of Adam teammates at the national team Annedy Kundu and Ruth Ingosi signed a three-year deal each with Cyprus sid Lakatamia FC.
