Injury roundup: Man United sweating on Rashford fitness, Liverpool handed double injury boost

Week 23 of Premier League action promises to be action-filled, with a number of exciting clashes on the cards.

Manchester United will travel to face league leaders Liverpool on Sunday in the highlight fixture of the weekend.

Ole Gunnar will, however, have to wait on the fitness of a number of key players, most notably Marcus Rashford

The striker was withdrawn during the FA Cup tie against Wolves, and might not be ready to face Liverpool.

Others who might not be available include Luke Shaw, but there is good news with Eric Bailly and Axel Tuanzebe returning to full training.

Liverpool

The Reds have been boosted by the return of Joel Matip and Fabinho, who might be available for the tie against United.

Naby Keita, Dejan Lovren and James Milner are however ruled out of the game.

Arsenal

Mikel Arteta, just like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to wait for an update on a number of his players, including Sead Kolasinac and Lucas Torreira.

There was positive news though on Hector Bellerin, whom Arteta revealed has been training with the team and looks sharper.

Chelsea

The Blues will make the longest trip of their season against Newcastle on Saturday, and Frank Lampard will be buoyed by the fact that there are no new injuries.

Christian Pulisic, who is the only worry, will miss the trip, and there was positive news on Ruben Loftus' recovery, Lampard revealing he is on the road to full recovery.

Tottenham

Ben Davies and Tanguy Ndombele are on their late stages of rehab, while Harry Kane, who will be out for months has started his early stages.

Moussa Sissoko travelled to France with the medical team to undergo early stages of rehab, and there was further good news for the side with Hugo Lloris returning to training.

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola, in his pre-match conference, revealed that long-term absentees Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte have returned.

Laporte has been training with the first team since the start of the month, while Sane is back but training in isolation.
