Kenyan Premier League giants Gor Mahia have snapped up midfielder Nicholas Omondi from National Super League (NSL) side Kibera Black Stars.
Information from Gor Mahia Tv reveals that the player has signed a two-year deal and is expected to slot in for midfielder Tobias Otieno who is set to depart for US Second-tier side Union Omaha.
The midfielder is one of the most highly-rated players at his age having featured for Kariobangi Sharks previously in his career.
He has been the assistant captain of the Kenya U17 team that has participated in recent tournaments outside the country and was handed a trial period with Laliga side Malaga youth team last year.
Omondi becomes Gor Mahia’s fourth signing in the January window after the arrival of Ugandan Juma Balinya, Ghanaian midfielder Jackson Owusu and youngsters Chris Alpha Onyango and Alphonse Omija who were promoted from the club’s youth team.
