What has happened since Arsenal last won away against a top 6 team?

What were you doing on 18th January 2015? Because that is when Arsenal last beat a top 6 side, away.

Goals from Santi Carzola and Olivier Giroud ensured an Arsenal 0-2 win in a match that had Tomáš Rosický and Martín Demichelis on the team sheets.

But what other things have happened since this win?

Zidane has bossed the CL

Real Madrid hired Zinedine Zidane in 2016 and he went ahead to win the three consecutive Champions League titles for his former club,  a fete achieved by no manager in the game.

Other than that, he won nine trophies in his first stint as the club's manager.

This man then decided to resign and was then hired back but still,  Arsenal couldn’t beat a top 6 team away.

Aston Villa ‘died’ and ‘resurrected’

Aston Villa was relegated from the Premier League on 16 April 2016 and they came back to the top flight on 27th May 2019 and still, no win for the Gunners away top a top 6 team!

Villa is currently in a relegation battle and with how football is, they might actually go back down before Arsenal wins!

David Luiz joined them

David Luiz has had a very crazy and funny relationship with Chelsea fans and it was very confusing when he joined Arsenal on deadline day in the summer window.

But before this, he moved back to Chelsea from PSG in the summer of 2016, and won the title with the blues in the 2016/17 season. Still, no win for the Gunners against you-know-who.

Luiz then joined Arsenal in 2019 and is yet to see a Gunners away win against any top 6 side!

Mourinho has been sacked twice

Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea in December 2015, hired by Manchester United in May 2016, fired in December 2018 and still, the Gunners have not beaten a top 6 side away.

Mourinho is currently Tottenham Hotspur manager and with reports of a discontent dressing room and a string of poor results, he might just leave this job before the Gunners get three points from a top 6 side!

The big question is, guys, when will the Gunners win away against a top six side?
