Tanzania and Uganda are through to the second round of U-17 Women's World Cup qualifiers after seeing off their respective opponents.
On Saturday, Tanzania stopped their hosts Burundi 1-0 for 6-1 aggregate score while Uganda shocked their hosts 3-1 for a 5-1 aggregate score to proceed to the next round.
In Bujumbura, Protasia Mbunda gave Tanzania the lead in the 43rd minute and they went on to shut out their hosts to set up a second round date with their northern neighbours Uganda.
And in Addis Ababa, red hot Juliet Nalukenge scored a brace as Margaret Kunihira added the second as the visitors made light work of their hosts who had been a stubborn opponent in the first leg in Kampala a fortnight ago.
The two teams will meet in the second round with winner meeting either Cameroon or Sao Tome and Principe. Second round matches will take place on the weekend of May 1 with the return legs scheduled for a week later.
