Nicholas Muyoti admits to feeling the heat of title race

Kakamega Homeboyz head coach Nicholas Muyoti has admitted to feeling the heat of the title race after going top of the Kenyan Premier League.

Homeboyz comeback from a goal down to beat Kariobangi Sharks on their weekend encounter with the result taking them top of the table after Tusker drew against Ulinzi Stars.

Gor Mahia and Tusker are breathing down Homeboyz' neck as they only trail the log leaders by a single point with K'Ogalo having two games in hand.

Speaking after the win over Sharks, Muyoti admitted to feeling the pressure of the title race, "Of course, it gives us a lot of pressure and it's a position I don't like to be in at the moment.

"Remember the league is a marathon and as I told my boys we are taking a game at a time and I don't need to put pressure on them now that they are top of the table, we just need to focus on our next match."

Homeboyz next take on KPL strugglers Wazito FC on Sunday, February 2 at the Bukhungu Stadium.
