KPL Preview: Gor Mahia face struggling Nzoia as Ulinzi Stars welcome AFC Leopards

Kenyan Premier League Round 19 takes center stage this weekend with Gor Mahia taking on Nzoia Sugar and Ulinzi Stars hosting AFC Leopards.

Posta Rangers vs Bandari

Sammy Pamzo Omollo's side look to have regained their early-season form after suffering a blip that saw them go five games without a win but have now picked up three straight wins.

Posta and Bandari have historically registered low scoring games with only three out of 11 games producing over 1.5 goals.

New Bandari head coach Twahir Muhiddin got a baptism of fire in his first game as Bandari coach, suffering 3-0 defeat at the hands of reigning champions Gor Mahia.

The Dockers are in a torrid run of form having won just three games in the last 14 matches and have and suffered three consecutive defeats.

Gor Mahia vs Nzoia Sugar

Gor Mahia moved to the top of the table for the first time since the opening games of the season with the win over Bandari last time out.

Despite having played a game less, K'Ogalo are the joint top scorers having netted 35 goals alongside Tusker and have the best defensive record after conceding nine goals.

Nzoia Sugar's abysmal run is set to worsen as they take on reigning league champions, having failed to win their last 13 games which forms the league's worst run.

The Millers have the third-worst defensive record having shipped in 33 goals which is one less than Kisumu All Stars.

Ulinzi Stars vs AFC Leopards

Last weekend's draw against Tusker saw Ulinzi Stars prolong their unbeaten run to 15 games which is the longest lossless streak in the league.

Ulinzi need to sort out their defense that has started shipping in goals after a watertight display in the first half of the season, the Soldiers have now let in three goals in the last two games.

Leopards have registered decent performances despite their financial troubles and just four points off Ulinzi Stars who are having a wonderful season.

Ingwe will, however, suffer a blow following the exit of John Makwatta who is the top scorer of the league and netted exactly half of Leopards' goals (13).

Kakamega Homeboyz vs Wazito

Homeboyz came from a goal down to beat Kariobangi Sharks hence maintaining their eight-game unbeaten run and have registered just a single draw in that run.

Solidity at the back has been one thing lacking from Homeboyz having soaked in more goals than Mathare United in 10th place.

Everything seems to be going haywire for Wazito having lost their last seven games, leaving Stewart Hall with just one win since being appointed back in November.

Wazito's problems are in the striking department, having failed to score a single game in the last four matches and have parted ways with Derrick Onyango and Elvis Rupia.
