Uganda Cranes left back Isaac Muleme on Sunday made his debut at his new club FC Nitra in Slovakia less than 48 hours after completing the loan move from Czech Republic second-tier side Viktora Zizkov.
Muleme was introduced as an 81st-minute substitute for Croatian midfielder Duje Javorcic in a Slovakian Premier League match against Pohronie Stadion Pod Zoborom in Nitra. The match ended in a goalless draw.
The former KCCA and SC Villa defender made the move after finding playing time scarce at the Czech club with his last appearance coming on November 10 last year when he was a 90th-minute substitute. Cumulatively, he played ten matches in two years for the club.
Nitra has the option of making the loan deal permanent should the Uganda Cranes star impress in Slovakia. FC Nitra is currently second from the bottom of a 12-team table with 16 points after 19 rounds of matches.
Muleme has played 39 times for Uganda Cranes and is yet to score an international goal.
