Chelsea will travel to face Bournemouth on Saturday evening without four key players, who have been ruled out due to injures.
Christian Pulisic, N’Golo Kante, Tammy Abraham, and Callum Hudson-Odoi will miss the clash against the Cherries as the Blues hope to continue their chase for a top-four finish with a win.
"Pulisic is still injured and Kante is still injured," said Frank Lampard during the pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.
"Abraham is injured with the same problem as before. We’re trying to find a solution with him. It’s frustrating that he has come in and out somewhat but he’s injured for tomorrow. Callum is another one who isn’t fit this weekend," he added.
Pulisic has not featured for the Blues since New Year Day's draw against Brighton and was initially expected to return after the winter break.
He is however yet to recover, with Lampard recently saying he did not know how far off he was from full recovery.
"The projected time out was a lot less than what it’s turned out to be," revealed the manager.
"I had a similar injury myself as a player and was out for three months, the worst injury I had so I can certainly sympathize and speak with him about the detail of the injury because it’s not an easy one,"
Kante, on the other hand, hobbled off during Chelsea's Premier League clash against Manchester United last week, and it's turning out to be a serious setback.
The team has however been boosted by the return of Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has been training with the rest of the squad following a long lay-off.
