FKF Cup tie pitting hosts Bandari and Sofapaka will be played behind closed doors.
Through the ministry of health, Kenya confirmed it's first Coronavirus case on Friday, and Football Kenya Federation decided to cancel all its leagues as a precaution. Defending champions Bandari will be up against Sofapaka at the Mbaraki Sports club but the clash will be played behind closed doors with no pre and post handshake taking place.
Ahead of the clash, Bandari released a statement, "Unfortunately, due to the emergence of the first case of the Corona Virus (COVID -19) and in line with the directive from the FKF We; Bandari FC, Will play our FKF Betway Cup tie against Sofapaka behind CLOSED DOORS. Our top priority being health and safety."
"Following directives from the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) our cup game against hosts Bandari FC will be played behind closed doors, no pre and post handshake will take place as well," a statement from Sofapaka read.
The match will kick off starting from 3:00 PM EAT.
