In a game of football, taking the lead might give your side the needed impetus in the game. It gives your side the advantage to dictate a game in a way and –to some extent-cool the tempo of your team. But which players have the most opening goals in the Kenyan Premier League this season?
The list is headed by Ulinzi Stars striker Enosh Ochieng who has scored six opening goals; the striker who lifted the golden boot last season already on nine goals.
He is closely followed by the current top scorer Timothy Otieno who has hit five opening goals for Tusker FC with AFC Leopards Elvis Rupia and Omala all both with four opening goals
Mark Makwatta (who has left for Zesco United), Enock Agwanda, Peter Thiuongo of Homeboyz, Francis Nambute of Posta Rangers, Elli Asieche of Sofapaka, Kevin Kimani of Mathare United, David Simiyu of Sofapaka and Chris Masinza of Homeboyz have all hit three opening goals this season.
