Togolese star Emmanuel Adebayor has checked into self-isolation after landing at Benin's Cadjehoun Airport in Cotonou.
The 36-year-old star has left Paraguay, where he plays for CD Olimpia, after the national league was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
As required by Togolese and Benin health authorities, all passengers jetting into the two nations from high-risk countries must observe a 14-day isolation period before mingling with the public.
The outbreak has led to dozens of countries suspending their leagues and tournaments. The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 195 countries and territories around the world and an international conveyance (the Diamond Princess cruise ship harboured in Yokohama, Japan). It has infected at least 335,000 people and killed at least 15,400.
