Mourinho snubs Manchester United players in his best XI

Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has omitted Manchester United players from the list of the best XI players he has coached.

In an interview with Marca, the Portuguese named a star-studded team that was spearheaded by Juventus star man Cristiano Ronaldo with the pair having worked at Real Madrid.

Mourinho won three trophies during his time in charge of United and worked with the likes of Paul Pogba, David de Gea and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. However, none of them did enough to make it into his best side.

The manager had a series of players too from his time at Chelsea with veteran keeper Petr Cech given the nod in goal.

Aston Villa assistant manager John Terry, William Gallas and Ricardo Carvalho all feature in his team ina defence that has former Inter Milan captain Javier Zanetti.

In midfield, Frenchman Claude Makelele sits at the base with the current Chelsea manager Frank Lampard and Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil playing either side, while Eden Hazard has been selected in an attacking role.

In attack, Mourinho selected Ronaldo and Chelsea legend Didier Drogba.

Jose Mourinho's best XI: Cech; Zanetti, Terry, Carvalho, Gallas; Makelele, Lampard, Ozil, Hazard; Ronaldo, Drogba.
