South Africa ace Percy Tau will end the current season with a league winners' medal, following the cancellation of the Belgian league.
Tau's Club Brugge will be announced winners, even though the league will not conclude as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
This decision was communicated on Thursday, even though the official communication will be made on April 15 as the officials resolve the promotion and relegation issue.
Brugge have enjoyed a hugely impressive season both at home and in Europe, and hold a 15-point lead over second-placed Gent.
They also impressed in Europe in the Champions League and the Europa League, making it to the knockout phase of the latter, where they lost to Manchester United.
Tau has been one of the club's standout players, leading to speculations that he might be on the move come next season.
His latest medal adds to the two Absa Premiership winners’ medals he won with Mamelodi Sundowns‚ before his big move to Europe.
