Joseph Mandela has hinted that his time at perennial relegation fighters Proline FC might be coming to an end as his contract runs out.
The defensive midfielder has spent seven years at the club and has decided that he may not renew his contract and will be looking for a new club.
“As a player, the time comes when you need to grow on and off the pitch, it’s normal in this business,” Mandela told Football256.com.
“With the marvellous relationship I have with the club, fans, my teammates and management I’d have loved to stay.”
“But I think it’s the right time for me to face a new challenge as a player and a person when my current contract expires in June,” he added.
The 25-year-old joined the club in 2012 and has been the mainstay of the team since. The lanky midfielder has stuck with the side through thick and thin helping them gain promotion to the top flight twice.
Before the season was suspended, Proline was nestled in the 14th position on the Uganda Premier League table with 22 points with five rounds of matches to go.
