Former England captain Rio Ferdinand is desperate to see Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.
Sancho has been heavily linked with a move to United in the coming summer with reports rife that the two parties had agreed on personal terms with the only thing remaining is for his club to agree on a few.
In an interview with Acro Academy during an Instagram Live as quoted by Metro, Ferdinand said: “I hope they do (sign Sancho) man.
“He’s got that imagination, that carefree spirit-almost like that playground footballer vibe that I love. And he’s bringing it all to the big stage.”
Apart from United, the 20-year-old is said to be attracting interest from United rivals Chelsea FC and Liverpool.
Dortmund is reported to have set a £120m asking price for the player following his eye-catching performances over the past two seasons.
Sancho has scored 14 times and has made 15 assists in 23 games in the Bundesliga this season to help Dortmund challenge Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig for the title.
The player has never hidden his admiration of the Premier League and would like a return to his native home; the winger having moved to Germany in 2017 from Manchester City for in an £8m deal.
