The Bundesliga enters week 27 this weekend, the second round of fixtures since its return, with a total of nine matches spread across three days from Friday through to Sunday.
Borussia Dortmund were the biggest winners of the first weekend, sticking four unanswered goals past a hapless Schalke in the Rivierderby at the Signal Iduna Park.
Defending champions Bayern Munich failed to sparkle against Union Berlin, but still got the job done as Robert Lewandowski and Benjamin Pavard scored for a 2-0 win.
New kid on the block, Kai Havertz, dazzled and was arguably player of the weekend after his double helped Bayer Leverkusen to a 4-1 win over Werder Bremen.
Fans across the world will once again train their eyes on German's top tier league this weekend as its the only source of football entertainment, at least across Europe's top leagues.
What does the weekend hold?
Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen
Arguably biggest match of the weekend will see two top teams battling for a top-four finish square it out. Gladbach were unconvincing in their win over Frankfurt and will face sterner opposition with only two points separating them. Can Havertz unleash his magic again?
Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt
The league leaders maintained their lead at the top with a 2-0 win over Berlin and are expected to win against a Frankfurt side that has lost all their last four fixtures. Frankfurt have a good record against Bayern though and it will be interesting to watch.
Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund
Daniel Ginczek scored a 91st-minute goal to give visitors Wolfsburg all three points in a 2-1 win over Ausburg last week. Dortmund, on the other hand, strolled over Schalke but will be wary of a more organized opponent when they visit Volkswagen Arena
