Kenyan Premier League side Sofapaka FC has demanded an apology from AFC Leopards chairman Dr Dan Shikanda.
Shiknada in a show on Saturday claimed that without Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards, there was no football in Kenya; a statement that didn’t go well with Sofapaka President Elly Kalekwa.
Shikanda further stated in the show that he knew KCB as a bank and not a football team and that he knew of a team calling itself Sofapaka.
In a statement on their official social media feeds, Kalekwa claimed that Shikanda’s sentiments lacked respect to his club and that he needed an apology on the same. The Congolese further reminded Shikanda of the titles they have won since he took over the reins of the team and since their KPL debut in 2009.
He added that all the teams in the Kenyan top-flight deserved respect after reminding Shikanda that there was a time AFC Leopards were relegated from the league.
