🇧🇮 Burundi FA back-flips on stadium ban, to allow 50 fans per team in league matches

Burundi Football Federation (FFB) has now decided to allow a maximum of 50 fans from each team during their league matches.

Last week, the federation had announced that the rest of the Division One matches will be played behind closed doors after crowd trouble during the match between Musoganti and Inter Star.

In a circular seen by Futaa.com, the federation added that the matches, staged at Bujumbura's Intwari Stadium, will see home fans occupy one side of the stadium while visiting fans take the opposite stands.

Football activities in Burundi paused briefly due to the coronavirus pandemic but resumed after two weeks as the rest of the world contends with a total shutdown, two months later.

Division One, Ligue 1, matches continue this weekend at Intwari Stadium as Inter Star host Vital'O FC while Atletico takes on Bujumbura City in a doubleheader.
