European giants Liverpool are said to be willing to offer a player plus cash for SC Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.
The Jurgen Klopp side has been admirers for the Senegalese and reports from the Napoli Magazine, indicates that the Reds are ready to submit an offer for the player.
According to the reports, Liverpool is willing to part with €60m (£53m) and a player for the 28-year-old; the players that might be used in the deal including Divock Origi, Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren.
Origi is said to be keen on a move as he seeks more playing time this after impressing in his cameo roles for the club and being instrumental to their Champions League win last season.
Koulibaly has strongly been linked with a move to Manchester United over the past two summers but with the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side said to be going all out for Jadon Sancho, they might lack funds to get the Napoli player.
Plans to boost their defence has landed United once again at Swansea where they are said to be keen on getting the services of defender Joe Rodon.
Liverpool on the hand is said to be looking for a defender who can partner Virgil Van Dijk at the heart of the defence with Lovren expected to leave and Joe Gomez prone to injuries.
