Bayern Munich reveal summer transfer plans

Bayern Munich could avoid making any signings during the summer transfer window, as they come to terms with the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, says the club's board member Oliver Kahn.

Bundesliga resumed two weeks ago as they aim to finish the current season after it had been suspended indefinitely from mid-March. Speaking to Sky Germany, Oliver suggested the Germany machines, who are chasing for the signature of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane could avoid bringing in new faces in the upcoming transfer window.

"That could be an option and we are looking at everything at the moment, just like many other European clubs, I mean I don’t know about you guys, I haven’t noticed clubs being very eager to put together transfers right now," he said.

"We have to do something about the cost of personnel, that is very very difficult in professional football.

"If the income goes down and the costs for personnel stays the same or you even extend contracts from some players and then this effect is not to be underestimated, so those are all things you have to think about. I think, at the moment it is in our best interest to approach this with a certain care."
