Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor is a free agent after terminating his contract with Paraguayan side Club Olimpia just after four games.
Adebayor has been in Togo since March after football activities were suspended in Paraguay following the coronavirus outbreak.
The club announced the 36-year-old forward’s departure in a communique published on the club’s official website.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City forward joined the Paraguayan outfit with fanfare and publicity but has only made four appearances before quitting.
Adebayor’s contract termination has been attributed to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak and the player’s return to his native Togo as well as financial difficulties at the club.
