Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham has flown to Germany ahead of his move to Borussia Dortmund.
Reports from German publication Ruhr Nachrichten and Sky Sports say that the 17-year-old is expected in Dortmund on Thursday and he could sign with the Bundesliga outfit later today for a fee Sky claim is in excess of £26million.
Should that happen, the move would make Bellingham the most expensive ever 17-year-old and it will be a massive windfall for Birmingham City.
Bellingham who was strongly linked with a move to Manchester United came off the bench in the club’s last night’s 1-1 draw with Charlton Athletic and set up the injury-time goal which took Blues a giant step closer to Championship safety.
It was his 42nd appearance of a remarkable first season in senior football with the player earmarked to replicate his performances in the future with the England national team having captained his country at every age group.
