Angola international Wilson Eduardo has officially joined Emirati side Al-Ain from Portuguese side SC Braga in a two-year deal with a reported €4 million fee.
Eduardo, who played for both Porto and Sporting Lisbon at youth level, joined SC Braga in 2015 after being released by Sporting.
The 30-year-old while at Sporting Lisbon was sent out on loan on seven different occasions, including at Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb and Dutch side ADO Den Haag.
Eduardo made 153 appearances for Braga making 71 direct goal contributions (46 goals and 25 assists) and helping them win the Portuguese Cup and the Portuguese League Cup.
He will be partnering up with yet another Egyptian, former PSG youngster Omar Yaisien who signed for Al-Ain last summer.
Despite having represented Portugal through all youth levels, Eduardo has five caps for Angola, most of them coming in the 2019 AFCON, and scored two goals in the 2019 and 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
