Laliga Champions Real Madrid has reached an agreement with Levante over the sale of winger Jorge de Frutos.
In a statement, the club said: “Real Madrid C. F. and Levante U. D. have agreed on the transfer of the player Jorge de Frutos as of next season 2020/2021.
“Our club would like to thank De Frutos for his dedication, his professionalism and his attitude during the time he has been part of our academy and wishes him all the best in the next stage of his career.”
On their part, Levante confirmed that the player inked a five year deal with the team this after leaving on loan to Real Valladolid last season in which he played five games in LaLiga Santander before making another loan move to Rayo Vallecano where he featured in 17 games providing 5 assists and 2 goals.
"Jorge de Frutos has signed his contract with Levante UD for the next five years, after Real Madrid and the Levante entity have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player," the statement said.
The 23-year-old spent the last two seasons on loan with Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano on loan deals.
It had been impossible for the winger to break into Madrid’s first team following the presence of the likes of Rodrygo, Brahim, Vinicius and Asensio in the current squad with Odegaard and Kubo waiting in the periphery.
