Real Madrid might miss the services of midfielder Eden Hazard when they take on Manchester City on Friday night.
Mundo Deportivo via Daily Mail reports that the 29-year-old is still feeling discomfort from a previous injury and might miss the Champions League game slated for Etihad as they seek to make it to the next round of the competition.
The development will force manager Zinedine Zidane to make a late decision on Hazard’s participation in the match with Madrid still hoping to have him for the tie.
Hazard missed the first leg between the two sides after suffering from an ankle injury and has struggled with the same injury through the season; a setback that forced the Belgian to undergoe a surgery after fracturing his ankle against Levante in February.
The extended break forced by the coronavirus pandemic allowed Hazard time to recover to play a part in Real’s LaLiga title win but he may not be available as Zidane’s side try to come back from 2-1 down against Pep Guardiola’s men in the second leg.
