Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand insists Thiago Alcantara will be the ideal fit for Liverpool following his performance in Bayern Munich's 4-1 victory against Chelsea.
Alcantara who has been linked with a move away from the club was in the starting lineup in Saturday's Champions League clash and enjoyed 70 minutes of action.
Ferdinand lauded the 29-year-old's performances adding that the move to Liverpool will make a difference in the squad as he brings something exceptional to the game.
"He is a conductor, somebody who controls the tempo of the game, he’s got a wing mirror so he can see behind him, can see all angles, play every pass in the game," Ferdinand told BT Sport.
"Intelligent player, he speaks the language which is an important part of it as well.
"He’d be a dream to have for someone like Liverpool. He’s the type of player they probably haven’t got."
