Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly preparing a €36 million bid for Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu, British media reports.
The Turkish international continues to draw interest from a number of clubs including Manchester City, and now Catalans have joined the race to lure him away from Leicester.
Soyuncu joined Leicester City from SC Freiburg in August 2018 as a deputy, and soon backup for Harry Maguire, who was tipped to switch teams within the Premier League in the coming windows.
The Turk started life slowly in England making only six appearances in his first before establishing himself at the heart of the Foxes defence making 34 appearances last season. He proved to be one of the best defenders in the league alongside partner-in-crime Jonny Evans.
The duo were heavily involved in the Foxes tremendous season as they finished 5th in the league conceding just 41 goals throughout the campaign.
The Catalan giants have turned their attention to Soyuncu as they seek to shore up their leaky defence. Gerard Pique has performed at the highest level of football for more than a decade now and is entering the last juncture of his career aged 33.
Manchester City's Eric Garcia has also been linked with a move back to the Catalan capital with manager Pep Guardiola already admitting that it will be difficult to convince him to stay in England.
