Joelson Fernandes’s agent Kia Joorabchian has rubbished reports linking the Sporting CP youngster with a move to Arsenal.
Fernandes has been linked with a move to Arsenal with reports claiming that Chelsea and Manchester City have made enquires over his availability. It's claimed City were not put off by the price they were quoted for Fernandes, but that it's unlikely they would get him for under his €45m release clause. Arsenal reportedly had a €32m bid rejected last week.
And now the 17-year-old's agent Kia has shut down reports linking the youngster to a move to the north London side.
"Everybody is linking a lot of players to a lot of clubs, particularly more so with Arsenal than others,” he told TalkSport.
"Today I read something about Joelson Fernandes, that Arsenal have made an offer etc, etc. He’s a young, phenomenal talent, but we’ve never, ever spoken about him to Arsenal."
He has netted five goals in 28 appearances for the Sporting's youth side that saw him rewarded with four first-team appearances.
