Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer admits the club needs to strengthen before the transfer window shuts.
United have managed to secure a single singing in the name of Donny van de Beek from Ajax. The Red Devils have heavily been linked with Borussia Dortmund's forward Jadon Sancho but the deal still remains complicated. During Friday's press conference, the Norwegian refused to be drawn to Sancho's speculation but admitted they need to strengthen the squad to keep developing.
"Of course we've done some business with Donny. I'm very happy, delighted to get him in - exceptional smashing lad, very good player that will give us something."
"You know I can't say anything about other clubs' players out of respect to them. I can't speculate."
"But we understand that to get even further 1) we need to develop what we have, 2) we're also looking to strengthen the team, of course, we are. Let's just wait and see if we manage to bring anyone in. I've been in dialogue with the club, of course, we're always discussing and hopefully, let's see if we can bring anyone in."
United will start their 2020/21 Premier League campaign on Saturday against Crystal Palace.
