Premier League defending champions Liverpool have announced the signing of Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.
Munich are believed to have released Alcantara for a deal worth around £27million for Thiago with the midfielder signing a four-year deal at Anfield. Manchester United were also interested in Alcantara's signature but the midfielder had his heart set for an Anfield switch where he could work under Klopp.
"I think it’s an amazing feeling. I was waiting for this moment for a long time and I am very, very happy to be here," Thiago told the club's official website.

It also [has] this kind of family [feeling] that I need because we [like to] have a very close relationship with the club and I think I will feel this, I will have this feeling, with this club as well."
The Spaniard, who moves to Anfield after helping Bayern Munich clinch the treble as they won the Bundesliga, German Cup, and the Champions League will wear jersey number 6.
