Lionel Messi's relationship with Barcelona could be moving from bad to worse after the Argentine attacked the club once again for their handling of Luis Suarez.
Suarez completed a move to Atletico Madrid this week, after failing to reach an agreement to extend his stay despite his desire to continue at the club.
Messi, who came close to leaving a few weeks ago was not happy with how they treated his strike partner, and he took his social media to air his frustrations.
“I was already getting the idea but today I entered the locker room and the penny dropped," he posted on his Instagram.
"It’s going to be so difficult not sharing every day with you, both on the pitch and off it. You will be missed. There were many years, friends, lunches, dinners. Every day together will never be forgotten.
“It will be strange to see you wearing another shirt and even stranger to play against you. You deserved to be celebrated as what you are: one of the most important players in the club’s history, achieving important things both as a group and individually. And not to be kicked out like they’ve done. But the truth is that nothing surprises me anymore.
“I wish you all the best in this new challenge. I love you very much. See you soon, friend.”
Messi was forced to remain at the Catalan club for at least another season after he was informed he could not leave unless his huge release clause was met.
